The Finance Department provides professional and fiscally prudent management of all city assets by managing and recording, safeguarding, organizing and planning for future financial needs. The Finance Department provides services to City of Cedar Hill departments; citizens; business owner’s; stakeholders and visitors with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. Through oversight of purchasing, accounting, financial reporting, debt administration, treasury and budget the Finance Department provides premier customer service. The department provides financial services to the Community Development Corporation (CDC), the Economic Development Corporation (EDC), the Tax Investment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ), and several Public Improvement Districts (PID’s).
The City of Cedar Hill has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for more than 27 consecutive years.
